Plantar Fasciitis and Powersteps

I had never heard of Plantar Fasciitis (aka Heel Spurs) until I was 28 years old.  I guess people don’t talk about their foot pains in public.

Nowadays, when friends reveal to me that they have been waking up with foot pain or struggling with self-diagnosed plantar fasciitis, I tell them about how Powersteps (aka shoe inserts aka “orthotics”) changed my life.

I tell them how putting Powersteps in all my shoes enabled me to start running again.

I direct them to the powersteps website and tell them to order a bunch of shoe inserts. They are about $30 per pair… a lot cheaper than the custom orthotics that the podiatrist will sell you.

If this post sounds like an ad, that is ok … because I would rather have people suspect me of being a weirdo salesperson if this means that someone who has foot pain is able read this post and use it to regain their health.

If you don’t believe me, go to any running store (for example the Carytown running store) and tell them you have Plantar Fasciitis… they will have heard of it and they will probably tell you to get PowerSteps or some other orthotic insert.
